Chakrapani Chalise biography

Chakrapani Chalise was born on in 1883 A.D. (1940 B.S.). His birthplace is at Katunje, Bhaktapur. He is a popular writer, poet of the Nepalese literature and composer of National Anthem (Shreeman Gambhir) of Nepal. His father name is Premlal Chalise. His mother died while he was young. Talking about his education he completed his education from Benaras, India. After completing his education he worked in the Gorkhapatra and the Gorkha Bhasa Prakashini Samity. In 1957, he was posthumously honoured with Tribhuvan Award for his lifelong contribution to the Nepalese literature. He died on April 13, 1958 at the age of 75.
