Nirmal Pradhan was born on 2011 B.S. Tanahu, Bandipur, Nepal. He is one of the big investors in Nepal stock market. He is also popular as Nepali Warren Buffett and King of Stocks. Once in the stock market of Nepal it is said that if Nirmal pradhan touches stone then it turns into gold. He lost all his money he earned in 45 year within 45 days in the stock market of Nepal. He studied from Trichandra campus, Kathmandu, Nepal.
He is a successful businessman known as film producer, film distributor also involved in transportation business etc and he started night bus service in Nepal. After becoming successful in transportation business he moved to cinema industry. He have made hit Nepali movies like “Kanchi”, “Santan”. He used to own many cinema halls in major locations like Kantipur cinema – Kathmandu, Nischal chalachitra bhawan – Kathmandu, Jay Nepal chalachitra ghar – Kathmandu, Om chalachitra mandir – Hetauda, Purnima cinema – Pokhara, Jun chalachitra bhawan – Narayanghat, Jyoti chalachitra mandir – Narayanghat, Menuka chalachitra mandir – Damauli, Siddhartha chalachitra bhawan – bhairawa etc.
He entered into Nepal stock market in 2056 B.S. without proper knowledge. At that time NEPSE index was around 1100-1200.
His journey in stock market began when he saw crowd of people appliying for the IPO. He applied IPO and after good return from it he began investing in secondary market. Initially he applied IPO from his and his family members name. He was allotted 500 kitta stocks which was traded in Rs. 440 and later up-to 800 in secondary market. He got Rs. 330 profit per stock within 3 months. Those days it takes 3 months to get listed after applying for stocks. Allotment was done manually and because of that there used to be time gap. He invested around 4-5 crores and at that time that was big amount. He puts all his money in stock market but this time bearish trend began and he lost his money. He was shocked and his age was 45 at that time. He learned from his failure and kept moving ahead. He takes 300 crores personal loan for investing in stock market and pays yearly interest of 30-40 crores.
